Dumpling Diner: Privacy Policy
Effective date: 30 September 2026 (version 1.2)

In short
Dumpling Diner is a game for the whole family. We do not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads and no analytics or tracking in the game. Optional purchases are made in Google Play, and we never see payment details. Everything the game remembers stays on your own device. The only thing that ever leaves it is a random push token, and only if you turn on Reminders (see below).
What the game stores on your device
To keep your progress, the game saves a small file on your device only, holding:
- your levels, stars, coins and boosters;
- the guests you met, your Scrapbook (memories, postcards, stickers) and your restaurant decorations;
- your settings (language, sound, music, vibration, reduced motion, graphics quality);
- the purchases the game has credited (Google Play's purchase references), so no purchase is ever credited twice;
- simple counters the game uses to pace its own content (for example how many levels you played today). They are never sent anywhere.
This data never leaves your device through the game. We cannot see it and we do not receive it.
Device backup. If you use Android's own backup, Android may include the game's save in your device backup so your progress comes back on a new phone. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account's settings; we have no access to it.
Reminders (optional)
Reminders are off until you turn them on in Settings. Then the game schedules at most one gentle reminder a day on your device (never at night). To deliver occasional messages from us as well, your device registers with Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, which gives the app a random push token. The token does not identify you, is not linked to your name or any account, is not sold or shared for advertising, and stops being used when you turn Reminders off or uninstall the game.
What the game does not do
- No account, login or sign-in.
- No collection of names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, location or any other personal information.
- No advertising and no advertising identifier.
- No payment details: purchases are made in Google Play, never in the game.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking services.
- No chat or contact with other players.
- No sale or sharing of data with anyone.
Permissions
- Internet: required by the game's built-in web engine (and, with Reminders on, for the push token). The game does not send your game data anywhere.
- Vibration: gentle haptic feedback when you play. You can turn it off in Settings.
- Notifications: only asked for when you turn on Reminders.
Purchases (optional)
The game can be played in full for free with the coins you earn. Optionally, tokens, a one-time starter pack and an ad-free pass can be bought. Purchases are made with Google Play Billing: Google Play handles the payment, and we never see your name, card or account. Every purchase screen in the game sits behind a parental gate (a question for grown-ups). Refunds and purchase history are in your Google Play account.
Optional features you start yourself
- Sharing: after the parental gate, Share opens Android's share sheet with a short text and a link to the game in Google Play. You choose whether and where to send it; the game does not see what happens there.
- Home Screen widget: if you add the widget, it shows your daily menu and progress from the save on your device.
- Links into the game (
dumplingdiner://): these only open a screen in the game on your device.
Advertising
This version shows no ads. If ads are added later, they will come from Google AdMob in a family-safe, non-personalized mode (content rated G, no advertising ID, no tracking across apps), the ad-free pass will remove them, and this policy will be updated before they are switched on.
Children
Dumpling Diner is made for players of all ages, including children. Because the game collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either. It shows no ads; purchases and sharing sit behind a parental gate, and Reminders stay off unless someone turns them on. If you are a parent or guardian and have any question, write to us at support@shiostudios.com.
Deleting your data
All game data lives on your device. To delete it, uninstall the game, or go to Android **Settings → Apps → Dumpling Diner → Storage → Clear storage**. Turning Reminders off (or uninstalling) retires the push token. We hold no data about you, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Your rights
Under data-protection laws such as the GDPR you have rights over personal data a company holds about you. As we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or transfer. You can still contact us with any question, and you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If a future update adds something that handles data (for example ads), we will update this policy before that update is released, show the new effective date at the top, and describe exactly what is processed, by whom and why.
